Before moving on to time-domain simulation, the phasors of the simulated time-domain equivalent circuit must be calculated. Unlike power flow, in this solution all network components obtain a circuit equivalent. The system to be solved is no longer iterative. PQ loads, for example, are modeled by equivalent RLC branches at nominal voltage. Synchronous machines retain their Thévenin equivalents with the voltage phasors obtained from the previous power flow.
