Dangerous goods "packed in limited quantities" may be packaged :

• or in a "combination pack";

• or in a "shrink-wrapped bin".

A "shrink-wrap tray" is a small tray with edges, usually made of cardboard or plastic, which can be used to secure several inner containers together using a film that shrinks under the effect of heat.

Combination packagings" or "shrink-wrapped containers" for goods "packed in limited quantities" do not need to be approved, but they must comply with the general provisions set out in § 4.1 of the ADR, in particular :

• combination packaging" or "shrink-wrapped containers", which must be strong enough to withstand the usual shocks and stresses during transport;
