1. Involve the employee in drawing up the specifications
The first stage is based on the employee's willingness to wear PPE. The study and analysis phases that led you to this conclusion need to be explained as clearly as possible to future beneficiaries. They have already been involved in workplace risk assessment, through interviews, audits or feedback. You will remind them of the process and explain to them the ultimate need to make PPE available. You will insist on involving them in the selection of the most appropriate PPE.
This presentation can be made during a meeting with the people in the establishment, workshop or workstation concerned by the type of personal protection in question. You should then involve them in drawing up the PPE specifications (see Choosing to use PPE
