Hazard studies: databases and weighting of values

A distinction must be made between methods whose aim is to weight leak frequencies (such as that presented in API 581 – cf. weighting factors proposed in API 581 (Tool 2 )) and methods or proposals presented which do not have this objective, but which highlight the influence of certain parameters on the frequency of leak occurrence (CODETI, UFIP blue guide, etc.).
