Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD); Demande chimique en oxygène (DCO)
Oxygen consumption by strong chemical oxidants to oxidize organic and mineral substances in water. It is used to assess the pollution load of wastewater.
Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD)
A process in which a precursor is vaporized and reacts to form a solid that condenses on the surface of a substrate. By adjusting the carrier gas flow rate, temperature and pressure, it is possible to control the shape of the resulting particles.
Radiation Transfer Equation (RTE)
The radiative transfer equation was introduced to describe the propagation of radiation in a gaseous, solid or liquid medium. The RTE is a luminance transport equation.
