8. Capture and storage of CO2

Capture and storage of CO2 emissions apply in the case of concentrated CO2, like those from a large coal-fired power plant.

On the figure 4 is a diagram of a CO2, extracting CO2 in the flue gas, generally by washing with a solvent, to compress the CO2 extracted and transported to an underground storage site. The CO2 can then be injected into the subsoil and stored permanently.
