Since the last reviews on the subject of sulfur oxides published in the references [J 3924], it is reassuring to note that atmospheric SO2 emissions continue to fall substantially in France. Indeed, this is also the case in most European Union member countries, following the emission ceilings and limit values imposed by directives.
