The enclosures are generally modular, with a large number of removable panels ( 16 ) for technical reasons (maintenance, servicing). Leaks are inevitable with this type of assembly, and must be sealed (using high-performance seals, door steps, etc.). A hood design must take these into account, as they are responsible for performance losses in the mid- and high-frequency range. However, openings are unavoidable in enclosures for a variety of reasons:

• maintenance (inspection hatch, door, etc.) ;

• surveillance (glass) ;

• operation (parts conveying, shaft passage, transmission...
