"The science and techniques of acoustics have real difficulties in being understood by professionals in other fields. This gives it the character of a confidential science too often reserved for a few initiates" (extract from the summary of the workshops: "Assises de la qualité de l'environnement sonore" October 1995). In this context, the non-specialist industrialist's task is even more difficult. It is therefore essential that they have the awareness-raising tools, decision-making aids, methodological tools and specialist partners to enable them to tackle noise reduction with serenity.
