anechoic chamber; chambre anéchoïque

A soundproof room, i.e. one that is isolated from external noise and in which sound reflections off the walls are limited. It is said to be semi-anechoic when the floor is reflective.

conductance; conductance

Measures the ability of a pneumatic component or pipe to conduct a gas flow. Expressed in m3.s-1.Pa-1 (ANR for Atmosphère Normalisée de Référence).

conductance sonique; sonic conductance

Conductance in the sonic flow region. Expressed in m3.s-1.Pa-1 (ANR).

mass flow rate; débit massique

Mass of air passing through the circuit (open pipe or silencer) per unit time. Expressed in kg.s-1.
