We now analyze the case of two coupled oscillators (figure 4). The coupling is assumed to be conservative, i.e. no energy is dissipated at the junction. Coupling is expressed in terms of stiffness, mass or gyroscopic coupling coefficient. We therefore introduce a coupling stiffness Kc as well as a mass mc and a gyroscopic coefficient gc.
