How do you know if your use of an Annex XIV substance is authorized?
Check that its use complies with a REACH authorization dossier

First, you can check whether the substance is actually listed in Annex XIV of REACH. Annex XIV can be consulted on the ECHA website. Access to this list and useful information for consulting it are detailed in the REACH Regulatory List Search tool on the ECHA website (Tool 1 ).

If your substance is indeed listed in Annex XIV, then the authorization number is indicated on the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) from your supplier. It also appears on the substance or mixture label. It takes the form "REACH/x/x/x"....
