1. Biological hazards
In occupational health, the notion of "biological agents" is defined in European regulations as micro-organisms (bacteria, viruses, fungi, protozoa and prions), including genetically modified micro-organisms, cell cultures and human endoparasites, liable to cause infection, allergy or intoxication.
