Preparing chemicals: determining the DPD classification

To establish the classification of the preparation, the indications of danger will be listed and associated with the risk phrases.

The usual practice is to list physico-chemical hazards in order, followed by toxicological hazards and then environmental hazards. For each category of hazard, the most severe are given priority.

Example: for health hazards, CMR properties will appear first, followed by very toxic, toxic, harmful, corrosive and finally irritant properties:
