REACh restriction procedure: how can you contribute before the regulatory text is adopted?

The dossier proposing a restriction will be assessed by each of ECHA's committees, the Risk Assessment Committee (RAC) on the one hand, and the Socio-Economic Analysis Committee (SEAC) on the other. The first step is to check the conformity of the dossier. This essentially involves checking your regulatory compliance, but also whether any important scientific or technical information could prevent the dossier from being examined. If the file is not compliant, the competent authority is asked to revise the file.

Once the proposed restriction dossier has passed the conformity stage, it is put out to public consultation on the ECHA website. Any "stakeholder" (Member State, NGO, industry, trade union, citizen, etc.) can then submit comments.
