5. Probabilistic calculations as a function of time
The logical formula for a BDF does not change as a function of time, and the above probabilistic calculations are valid, in principle, only for point values of probabilities (i.e. constant probabilities independent of time). This is why Boolean approaches (BDFs, fault trees, event trees) are considered to be static, as opposed to Markovian approaches
