4. Multi-phase process
In the previous paragraphs, we assumed that the behavior of the system under study was the same throughout time. In reality, this is often not the case. For example :
systems that can or cannot be repaired depending on the season;
periodically tested systems ;
alternating use of equipment;
production capacity changes over time ;
etc.
We'll take a look at a few of these examples to demonstrate the principle and benefits of multi-phase modeling.
