Accelerated solvent extraction system; ASE
An extraction technique that uses high temperature and pressure
conditions to accelerate the process of extracting target compounds
from a solid sample using a solvent. This allows extracts to be obtained
more quickly and with greater efficiency than with traditional methods.
Chemical ionization; CI
A mild ionization method used in mass spectrometry. It relies
on reactions between neutral molecules in the sample and reactive
ions generated in a gas source, producing molecular ions or fragments
under less energetic conditions than electron ionization.
Liquid chromatography; LC
A separation technique in which the components of a mixture are
carried by a liquid phase (mobile phase) through a stationary phase,
allowing them to be identified or purified based on their differential
interactions with the two phases.
