7. Conclusion

LCA is still a perfectible environmental assessment method, but it is fully operational and its methodology is constantly being improved in order to better assess environmental impacts. Lifecycle inventories are also continually gaining in accuracy and precision, enabling us to produce increasingly reliable LCAs. The distinction of emissions in different geographical areas, the use of inventories that take into account the variability of emissions from different anthroposystems, and the scientific improvement of impact indicators can bring real added value to future LCAs.
