The purpose of this paragraph is to present the implementation of an odor treatment process on an industrial composting plant. The plant was the source of odor nuisance, both in terms of frequency and amplitude, involving repeated complaints from local residents. The general overview of this application thus serves to illustrate the methodology proposed in this article.
4.1 Initial context
The composting plant in question, located in Deux-Sèvres (79), is run by a private operator specializing in the production and formulation of organic soil improvers for agriculture, market gardening, horticulture, etc. Nominal production is around 14,000 t/year of finished products. Compost is produced from green waste and agricultural raw materials (mainly poultry litter)....
