On-site measurements at structures likely to emit odors are particularly useful for :

• diagnose, by taking stock of odor emissions, prioritizing the various sources of odors and qualifying the odors emitted by the site;

• check the olfactory abatement performance of deodorization systems already installed on site;

• check that discharges comply with current regulations;

• guide the technical improvements to be made to the structures;

• to model the olfactory impact of the site, by building up an initial database essential to the implementation of mathematical models to account for the dispersion of odors in the atmosphere.
