In an end-of-life vehicle, 50% of the value comes from non-ferrous metals, even though on average they represent only 9% of the mass.
Average mass of the main non-ferrous metals in a car :
zinc 11 kg ;
lead 12 kg ;
copper 15 kg ;
aluminum 50 kg.
