5.1 Do not archive previous versions of MSDSs
MSDSs evolve. Your suppliers have an obligation to provide you with up-to-date SDSs, which doesn't mean you should throw out the old versions. It's a good idea to archive these old versions, as they may come in handy, particularly if an employee has to report an occupational illness. Some illnesses can occur years after exposure to the chemical.
