The management of polluted soils on a site essentially depends on the current or future use officially proposed by the person legally responsible for the site. In order to characterize pollution, the analyses carried out are interpreted in relation to the various standards (regulatory, administrative and technical). In France, there are no regulatory management values for polluted soils. However, we can characterize the degree of soil contamination by comparing it with data from various measurement networks, most often associated with agricultural land.
