6. Waste gasification process

If now, when a waste is heated, the treatment atmosphere is lacking in air, but enriched with water vapor and/or carbon dioxide (reactants), the volatile materials emitted will not undergo a combustion process and the fixed carbon will start to react with water vapor and CO₂ at temperatures of 850-900°C, in endo/exothermic thermochemical transformation reactions, known as gasification[9][13], of the type : $\begin{matrix} \begin{array}{l} C + H_{2} O ⇄ CO + H_{2} \\ \end{array} \end{matrix} \begin{matrix} \end{matrix}$
