1. Why make a declaration?
Monitoring environmental quality improvement objectives requires knowledge of pollutant releases. Data estimated by the operators of the facilities concerned are entered in a national register, GEREP, and consolidated at European level in registre des rejets et des transferts de polluants.
This declaration also makes it possible to simplify the transmission of emissions reports by grouping them together in a single annual declaration.
