3. Evaluate exposure
The aim of this stage is to quantify the exposure of target populations to the selected substances. Quantification is carried out by determining :
population exposure concentrations as a function of environmental concentrations, exposure rate and individual body weight;
quantities administered via pre-defined transfer channels.
Exposure is quantified on the basis of measurement results, transposed data and estimates obtained by modeling pollutant transfer phenomena from the source to the exposed population.
