2. Know how to read and use nomenclature
The nomenclature is made up of headings that list :
Potentially hazardous substances and preparations;
potentially dangerous activities ;
IED activities ;
hazardous substances or mixtures.
The nomenclature takes the form of a list or table with four or five columns:
2.1 1st column: heading number
Each heading is identified by a four-digit number, the first two of which identify the family of substances or activities (e.g.: 11XX toxic substances, 22XX food processing...).
