3. Conclusion

Natural water can be used for strictly domestic purposes (water intended for human consumption or drinking water), for agricultural purposes (irrigation, livestock farming), and industrial purposes (numerous applications), as well as for cooling power plants and thermal power stations, for urban uses such as sanitation, watering, firefighting, and recreation (swimming pools and other bathing areas), for supplying canals, and, of course, for natural ecosystems. Some of these uses require specific water treatment prior to consumption, particularly for domestic and industrial purposes.
