CMR compound; carcinogenic, mutagenic or toxic to reproduction
compound
Acronym derived from chemical risk prevention regulations, characterizing
a chemical substance which, in the medium or long term, may induce
carcinogenic, mutagenic or reprotoxic effects.
Hydrotrope
A compound that solubilizes a lipophilic species in water. With
structures similar to those of surfactants (a polar head and a short
apolar tail), hydrotropes generally do not allow spontaneous self-aggregation.
Life Cycle Analysis (LCA)
Method for assessing the overall environmental impact of a product
or transformation (process). Lifecycle analysis is used to assess
the environmental impact attributable to the production of a product
throughout its life cycle (raw materials, transport, transformation,
use, end-of-life, etc.).
