Carrier materials are mainly used on reels by manufacturers of multilayer flexible packaging. These materials are made up of three main families: polymer films, papers and aluminum.
Additional materials are mainly used in liquid form. They include coatings (waxes, kerosenes and hotmelts), glues, varnishes and inks, polyethylene and polyolefins.
Commonly used polymer films include cellulose film, polypropylene, polyethylene, polyamide and polyester. Each film has its own specific qualities (gas permeability, water vapor permeability, mechanical strength, printability, etc.), which it brings to multilayer packaging.
