In France, the number of employees is back on the rise

After a period of decline (from 2004 to 2010), followed by a relatively stable period from 2010 to 2013, employment in the agri-food sector has started to rise again, as illustrated in figure 11. In total, around 460,000 FTEs are employed by agrifood companies in France (NAF 10 and NAF 11) (table 1). In 2018, the agrifood industry accounted for around 20% of all manufacturing jobs in France.
