Supercritical CO2 extraction on natural biomass

The SC CO₂ extraction process has been industrialized since the 1970s. This process has found its market for specialized applications by providing distinctive technical solutions, whether through its selectivity, the purity of the extracts obtained or the biomass treated, the substitution of organochlorine and petroleum-based solvents, or the addition of complementary functionalities to conventional processes.
