9. Glossary and definitions
Absolute: Product obtained by extracting a concrete, resinoid
or other extract with ethanol. The alcoholic solution thus obtained
is then cooled to low temperature (to precipitate substances that
are not very soluble in ethanol, known as waxes) and filtered. The
ethanol is then removed by distillation.

Botany: science devoted to the study of plants. Name derived from
the Greek meaning "concerning herbs, plants".
Chemotype/chemiotype: specimen of the same species that differs
in the presence or absence of one or more secondary metabolism chemicals,
depending on ecosystem influences.
