1. LCA in the chemical industry

Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is a method for assessing the impacts of systems (products, activities, services) from "cradle to grave", and this article focuses on its application in the chemical industry.

LCAs consist of four phases defined by SETAC (Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry) and ISO 14 040 et seq.
