We're going to look at the modeling of the solid consumable particle.
This type of model can be applied to the regeneration of a catalyst poisoned by a carbon deposit or a poison contained in the feed or, more generally, to any interaction of a solid phase dispersed in an inert solid support. The model can also be applied to a pure-body particle whose reaction volume remains constant, and where the operating regime throughout the transformation remains in the chemical regime.
