3. Conclusion
Although the principle of liquid-liquid extraction is very simple,
there are many physico-chemical phenomena that govern the transfer
of matter between two immiscible liquid phases. This series of articles
aims to make the reader aware of the existence of such phenomena,
and to show how they can be exploited to optimize an extraction system
