2. Chemical manufacturing process
It involves chlorinating soda ash with chlorine gas. There are two chemical processes for making bleach.

High-title" process
An original process patented by Arkema, it reacts chlorine with a 50% sodium hydroxide solution to produce bleach with 24-26% active chlorine (previously known as "105˚ chlorometric"), in which half the salt is removed by precipitation. Solutions of lower titres can then be prepared by dilution.
