Semi-permeable membranes - Crossflow microfiltration membranes

The characteristic parameters of commercially available crossflow microfiltration membranes have been grouped into eight categories. These are :

• of supply, which specifies the manufacturer's name, brand and membrane code;

• structural properties, which indicate the nature of the active layer material;

• physico-chemical properties, which include pore diameter, retention rate and the nature of the compound used for measurement;

• transfer properties, which only include the density of the flow to the water;

• mechanical properties, which give the operating pressure (maximum or recommended);

• of the outfit, which reports the temperature and pH of the environment;
