Structure of superconducting materials: superconductors exist in the form of pure bodies or compounds (alloys, oxides, organic compounds, etc.).
Example
structure A-15: Nb3Sn-type crystal structure ;
structure B-1: NaCl-type structure found for NbN, for example;
lava phase: structure types AB2 as Hf V2 ;
Chevrel phase: X-type compounds Mo6Y 8 formed from a Mo6Y 8 cluster ion and a metal X ion such as Pb, Sn, and where Y is a chalcogen (S, Se, Te) ;
perovskite: superconducting oxide with ABO3 structure (example: YBaCuO) where the oxygen ions form an octahedral structure, leading to strong anisotropy and a structure with a two-dimensional character.
