5. Conclusion
The Boltzmann lattice method (LBM), and more specifically the BGK (Bhatnagar-Gross-Krook) approach, enables the rapid and simple development of CFD codes in two and three dimensions. This approach is particularly effective for simulating flows in porous media. For these simulations, particular attention needs to be paid to the boundary conditions to ensure accuracy and stability. In addition, with the rapid development of the LBM method, numerous algorithms are now available for carrying out complex simulations, with high Reynolds numbers and multiphysics couplings.
