4. Dimensional analysis of a homogeneous isothermal polymerization reactor

Given the number of operating parameters, kinetic characteristics and reactor implementation conditions that can influence the performance of a polymer production plant, it is essential for the engineer to group together their effects in the form of trends. Dimensional analysis is a valuable tool in this respect. The methodology of dimensional analysis is described elsewhere, and we will concentrate here on the results it provides [BE 8 159] .
