8. End-of-line conveyors (for cardboard boxes, etc.)

At the end of the shrink-wrapping or shrink-wrapping machines, the filled cardboard boxes or packs, which can weigh up to 10-15 kg, must now be transported on conveyors capable of supporting such loads, and with bases that are more or less smooth. Various types of conveyor are used:

  • conveyors with metal or rubberized rollers to drive cases by friction;

  • disc conveyors, which allow curves (figure ) – free rolling;

  • conveyors with rubberized conveyor belts, which provide excellent frictional drive for cases or packs, and have a flat, smooth surface that does not risk damaging the cases or packs;

  • conveyors with free rollers; these rollers are generally made of high-strength, wear-resistant plastics such as polyamide, for example;...
