3. Just-in-time performance measurement
Any management system needs to track and measure what it does. JIT is no exception to the rule. However, the specific features we have discussed often lead companies to choose appropriate indicators. These fit into the general typology presented by M. Greif in his book
, i.e. results, process and context indicators.
We won't go into the construction of this system of indicators here; we'll just describe a few that seem significant in the context of JIT.
