First of all, we need to define and understand what a project is.
A project is characterized by :
specific objectives and scope of application;
a specific beginning and end;
a defined and temporary organization;
a dedicated project manager to oversee the project, responsible for its success.
The aim of a project is to provide a solution to a customer's problem. To achieve this, the project must set objectives and deliver concrete results.
There are constraints, such as quality requirements, budgeted costs and a schedule to keep in a disrupted, high-risk environment.
To set up and handle a project, it's best to work within an appropriate structure, and choose the structure best suited to the company and its activities
