How do you create a mind map?

Before building a mind map, there are a few prerequisites:

• You need to choose the subject; it can be a question, a problem to be solved or simply a theme you want to explore;

• the subject should be placed in the middle of the chosen medium (flipchart, screen, etc.) so that the branches can be developed without affecting the legibility of the whole;

• It is useful to draw a few main branches that will receive the most significant keywords; this pre-structuring encourages the production of ideas related to the subject;

• It is best to choose a medium that is large enough to facilitate the drawing of several levels of branches: an A4 format may be sufficient for you alone, but if you are working with a group or if you are a novice, larger formats...
