8. Mistakes to avoid

Criticize the product to be "redesigned": the aim is to create, not to criticize. It is therefore advisable to:

  • analyze the product without judgment to extract all its functions and constraints;

  • to ask the question, being a "new being" (ignorant): How do I achieve this function?

  • to list all existing possibilities without judgement;

  • prioritize solutions;

  • to choose the right solution.

Work without limits: set limits to your study by clearly explaining that module X, providing such and such a function, will not be studied, for reasons of time, or the functional analysis (FA) has already been done, for example.
