3. Tolerances and measurement uncertainty: which rule to choose?
The rule to be adopted must take into account the context of the measurement:
process control (should we regulate?) ;
acceptance/rejection of product batches (declaration of conformity) ;
analysis results (sick/not sick, context similar to batch acceptance).
