Drawing up a traceability master plan

Before presenting the different forms of activity representation (processes, procedures, operating modes), we present a general outline of the type of organization usually encountered in food processing industries.

Figure 1 describes a product's journey from upstream to the customer-processor.

General processes describe activities, exchange flows with inputs and outputs, and interactions between these activities. These exchange flows include information flows: we are at the information system level.
