As we saw in the previous paragraph, to implement the method, it is necessary to calculate three values:

• earned value (EV) ;

• planned value (PV) ;

• actual costs (RC).

Let's move on quickly to the calculation of actual costs, which presents no particular difficulties: these are simply costs spent to date.
